NYS Duplicate Title Request Service

New York State Duplicate Title requests are to be submitted by the owner of the vehicle only. Duplicate title requests must have the required information as stated below in the Required Documents Section emailed to dmvstop@gmail.com. If documents or payment are not received, they will not be processed. Once we are in receipt of your documents and payment, a DMVSTOP agent will contact you if anything is missing or additional payment is required.

Titles mailed to an address different from the original mailing address are subject to additional processing fees.

*Duplicate titles take 7-10 business days to arrive after receiving the required documents as listed in the Service Details & Requirements Section. Overnight titles are for qualifying vehicles only. If your vehicle does not qualify, express fees will be returned to your original payment method*

Required documents:

• NYS Drivers license or 6 points of ID (See ID82 form on DMV Forms Page by clicking here)
• If it is under a company, proof of incorporation will also be required
• Vehicle Identification Number
• Year, make and model of vehicle

If we are unable to process your transaction after a review of your full document packet, a full refund may be provided depending on the circumstances and is at the sole discretion of DMVSTOP. Refunds are not provided if you fail to send us the requested documents, valid insurance, valid driver license images, valid title without alterations or damage, or any other reason that is out of our control including if you request the transaction to be cancelled before or after we are in receipt of your paperwork. A partial service fee credit will be provided if you wish to cancel your transaction and is good up to 1 year from your initial order date. Credit/debit card processing fees are also non-refundable if charged. If a refund is provided, it will be in the form of a check or refund to your credit/debit card or other source if paid using a digital method like venmo, cashapp or zelle. Refunds can take up to 7 business days to show on your account.

All transactions are sent out to the DMV on the next business day after receipt of all documents and the duplicate title will be mailed to your address on file within 7-10 business days. Express titles are processed within 1-3 business days from the time of submission. Delivery dates are not guaranteed. If you need the title to be sent to a different address please make sure to select that option when you place your order.

By using this service, you agree to pay the convenience fee, depending on what service speed you selected, and additionally you agree to pay the taxes due depending on what amount of money you paid for the vehicle. Furthermore, you also agree to pay the registration fee, which may be less or more than what was quoted. You also certify that you and no one else is filling out this form, and that the license provided, title, and any other pertinent documents not covered by the aforementioned are true. Any false or fraudulent statement on this application is illegal and constitutes fraud and is punishable with both civil and criminal penalties. You also understand that we are NOT the DMV but a DMV service and charge a convenience fee for our service.By clicking the "Submit" button, you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. There is $50 fee for next day transactions. You also acknowledge that DMVSTOP in no way warrants the paperwork you submit to us for this type of application. We submit the documents as you provide and do not guarantee any results.
Electronic Signature Consent: A. Electronic Signature Agreement: By submitting your electronic signature, you are signing this Agreement electronically. You agree your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature on this Agreement. By selecting "I Accept" you consent to be legally bound by this Agreement's terms and conditions. You further agree that your use of a key pad, mouse or other device to select an item, button, icon or similar act/action, or to otherwise provide Skip the Trip LLC. instructions via this website, or in accessing or making any transaction regarding any agreement, acknowledgement, consent terms, disclosures or conditions constitutes your signature (hereafter referred to as "E-Signature"), acceptance and agreement as if actually signed by you in writing. You also agree that no certification authority or other third party verification is necessary to validate your E-Signature and that the lack of such certification or third party verification will not in any way affect the enforceability of your E-Signature or any resulting contract between you and Skip the Trip LLC. You also represent that you are authorized to enter into this Agreement for all persons who own or are authorized to access any of your accounts and that such persons will be bound by the terms of this Agreement. You further agree that each use of your E-Signature in obtaining Skip the Trip LLC. services constitutes your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Skip the Trip LLC. Disclosures and Agreements as they exist on the date of your E-Signature. B. Valid and current email address, notification and updates: Your current valid email address is required in order for you to obtain Skip the Trip Online services. You agree to keep Skip the Trip LLC. informed of any changes in your email address. Skip the Trip LLC. may notify you through email when an Electronic Communication or updated agreement pertaining to Skip the Trip LLC. Online is available. C. Hardware, software and operating system. You are responsible for installation, maintenance, and operation of your computer, browser and software. Skip the Trip LLC. is not responsible for errors or failures from any malfunction of your computer, browser or software. Skip the Trip LLC. is also not responsible for computer viruses or related problems associated with use of an online system. The following are the minimum hardware, software and operating system requirements necessary to Skip the Trip Online and receive Electronic Communications: Processor - IBM compatible Pentium PC running Windows 2000 Memory - 4MB RAM Disc Space - 50 MB's Free Space Monitor - 800 x 600 resolutions Browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher Internet access - 28.8 modem or better D. Controlling Agreement. This Agreement supplements and modifies other agreements that you may have with Skip the Trip LLC. To the extent that this agreement and another agreement contain conflicting provisions, the provisions in this agreement will control (with the exception of provisions in another agreement for an electronic service which provisions specify the necessary hardware, software and operating system, in which such other provision controls). All other obligations of the parties remain subject to the terms and conditions of any other agreement. To obtain electronic services and communications, indicate your consent to the terms and conditions of this Agreement by clicking on the "I Accept" button. It is recommended that you print a copy of this Agreement for future reference.
